When we started to discuss locations for their shoot, Faith mentioned that she wanted to do their engagement session at Pasadena City Hall. I really love Pasadena City Hall because there are a bunch of pretty spots where we can shoot. I also wanted to give them another look and a little more variety, I suggested that we also shoot in Old Town Pasadena. The day of our shoot we met in Old Town Pasadena and spent a little bit of time walking around the area shooting and getting to know each other. They told me about how they met when their pastor introduced them to each other, and we talked about how they are planning to have their wedding in Africa later next year.
Sometimes when I meet couples it is incredibly easy to see why they are together. Faith and Peter are one of those couples. They have a very obvious mutual respect for one another and it was really fun to see them interact together. They have great chemistry and make each other laugh constantly. Faith and Peter also have great style and might as well be models. I loved their second outfit change and thought they looked so classy. I had so much fun photographing them because they made it so easy for me. They should both be models! Usually at each engagement session I ask my couples if they want to do individual portraits or head shots and I always love when they agree. I still use one of the portraits of me from my own engagement session for some work related photos.
The shot below is my favorite photo from their session. I think it’s just so sweet.
Isn’t Faith so pretty?
I also love these two shots below because they were having so much fun together making each other laugh and not take the shoot too seriously.
LOVE IS SWEET!
Before we went over to Pasadena City Hall we made a quick stop over to All Saints Church which is right across the street from City Hall and incredibly pretty. I love the shots of them from the church property.
Each time I shoot at a location, I try to find new angles and perspectives, and I love these shots from above.
I really like how the pink roses look in this set of photos.
