Recently my husband Will turned 40, and for his birthday I decided to surprise him with a trip. I invited some of our close friends, and we rented a cabin on HomeAway.com in Big Bear right on the water. We’ve stayed in Big Bear before, but this cabin was awesome because it was right in Boulder Bay and it came with 2 kayaks and a canoe that we could use. I looove kayaking and canoeing and we had a blast using the boats and hanging out in the hot tub that overlooked the lake. We also got in some really great day drinking in Downtown Big Bear, and had a blast catching up with everyone.
Not long after my husband, Will, and I moved to Los Angeles, we met our really good friends Christopher and Victor. They lived down the hall from us at our first apartment in Los Angeles. When we decided to move to a different apartment we knew we didn’t want to live too far from them and we were lucky to find a spot about a mile away from them in Inglewood, CA. When they were ready to move from their apartment, we were super excited that they moved to an apartment that was only a 7 minute walk from us. Anyone who lives in LA knows that you might as well be in another country if you live too far from someone here in LA. Traffic is the worst, and to be able to walk to our best friend’s apartment is awesome!
While we were in Big Bear, I asked Christopher and Victor if I could photograph the two of them. When they were married, they didn’t have professional photos taken, so I was so happy to be able to do this for them. I love these photos they show their awesome love for each other. I also photographed their pups Brody and Lola. Make sure you check out the photos where Will fell into the lake getting into his kayak! So funny. I hope you love these photos. I’m so excited to share them with you.
